Exactly four years ago from the last time I posted, all eyes are on Iowa again. It has been great to see the growth the past four years, the strengthening of the organization, the maturation of Rand, and last but not least the growth of numbers. Four years ago 15-20% was a dream. Now it would be a disappointment. Let us see....
(8:12pm): Good first impression, MSNBC Hosts look a little uneasy.
(8:20pm): Bad second impression, old people continue to screw up this country by voting.
(8:32pm): Maybe not, initial polls show Mitt and Ron, however Mitt got the early stuff last time and Huckabee got the later numbers. Not over by any means, though I think this might spell trouble for Romney basted on FOXNEWS inferences.
(8:34pm): 1% in and Ron Paul has 43%...lets hope he stays on top! It would be so great to see the looks on the pundits all night.
(8:38pm): Huckabee says its easier sitting down this time around then sweating out the results. I don't doubt it, looks like he spends a lot more time sitting nowadays.
(8:41pm): Hmmmm...Huckabee spoke very strange...stating that he thinks that the economy overshadows every other issue and that if evangelicals vote for solely on the economy, that it doesn't mean that they don't care about those issues. Sounds like he is trying to explain away voting for a Libertarian. Now I am starting to feel optimistic.
(8:47pm): First Projection by FOXNEWS: Michelle Bachmann will finish last. I don't think I have every heard a station project a loser.
(8:54pm): MSNBC reports that the Iowa Caucuses are too close to call.
(8:56pm): 4% reporting, 24% for Santorum and Paul, 22% for Romney. Going to be an interesting night.
(9:05pm): Bill Kristol was asked if he thinks its a strong Ron Paul night...he looked like he threw up in his mouth and blurted out "mmyyeahhh". He keeps turning redder and redder. Let the fun begin! He's stammering!
(9:14pm): Carl Cameron of FOXNEWS reports from Romney camp that Ron Paul is doing very well in Des Moines, which I thought I heard Carl say comprises nearly 70% of the vote. Still optimistic.
(9:31pm): Ron Paul 60% right now on Intrade.
(9:32pm-11:10pm): Yeah, Yeah, it starts to go downhill from here.
(11:19pm): Ron gives a great speech. Very forceful about his views, wish he could have showed that a little more in the interviews.
(11:21pm): Newt takes a swipe at Paul. Now he is using the Jack Bauer scenario. Off to New Hampshire we go.
